1. The Bible
We believe in the divine inspiration of the Bible and its consequent entire trustworthiness and supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
2. The Godhead
We believe there is one God who exists in three persons - God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
3. Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is wholly God, was born of a virgin and became a man. He lived a sinless life and was crucified on a Roman cross to pay for the sins of all mankind. He died on the cross and was buried, but on the third day He was raised from the dead. After this, He ascended into heaven and now sits at the right hand of the throne of God.
4. The Way of Salvation
We believe that once a person repents of sin and exercises faith in Christ they then have eternal life.
5. The Church
We believe that the Church is the collective body of followers of Jesus Christ. It is expected to meet together regularly for prayer, worship and teaching.
6. The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, being a Person and part of the Godhead, comes and dwells in the believer at the moment of salvation.
7. The Return of Christ
We believe in and look for the personal return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
8. Baptism
We believe that baptism by immersion in water is expected of the believer soon after conversion. This is identifying with the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and a testimony of the believer's intention to live in newness of life.
9. Breaking of Bread
We believe that we must remember Christ by taking the bread and the wine - symbols of His Body and Blood.
10. Baptism in the Holy Spirit
We believe that there is an experience subsequent to salvation called 'Baptism in the Holy Spirit', which is usually accompanied by speaking in tongues and/or other manifestations of the Holy Spirit, and opens the way for believers to use the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
11. Church Ministry
We believe that the ministry required for the local church is the responsibility of the whole body. Within this body of believers may be found all the ministries required for the church to function as Christ intended.
12. Eldership
Eldership is an office held by those called of God, with the recognition of the body of believers. The elders are responsible for the spiritual wellbeing of the local Church body.
